62 days walking to Medjugorje

Mrs. Katarina Bednarczyk Sieminska is 55 years old and she walked 62 days from Kazimierz Dolny near Lublin in Poland to Medjugorje . She made this pilgrimage with empty hands, only trusting in God’s Providence. She took only a cross, the breviary and a geographic map along. Her intention of this pilgrimage was for the peace in the world. She is married to an artist, has no children.
Her testimony about the pilgrimage:
I decided to walk to Medjugorje because I believe that the Mother and the Queen of Peace is appearing here. Of course, She is everywhere, but she is presenting herself in a special way in Medjugorje, where She wants to prepare the humanity for the encounter with Jesus, with God.
We are living in a very difficult time, and I think that the time has come for the reconciliation of the whole world. I have received this intention in prayer. We are all children, God`s children. The humanity is in pain, and we have to be conscious of it. We are all brothers and sisters and this is why I wasn`t carrying neither bread nor water. I consciously and intentionally wanted to depend on those I would encounter and their goodness. Sometimes they wanted me to take bread or water along, but I did not take anything. It is great to ask, to request and people are happy when they can give, when they can offer something to somebody. Then we can see them like members of our own family and God works through them.
Of course I was rejected sometimes, but this was also a very good experience. How many times did God knock at the door of our heart, and we refused Him. Sometimes we just have to knock several times until someone open his door. We can encounter Jesus in the homeless or the poor, and if we don`t recognize this, we are completely blind. All humans are members of our family, including the sick, including those who don`t have anything and including those who lost their mind. Sometimes it might happen that someone wants to steal something from us and we should allow even this. Let us not close our heart, open them and people will be less aggressive.
Sometimes we want to be better then the others, but God doesn`t want us to be better then the others, he just wants us all to be good. To be good doesn`t mean to be better then the others, good means that we don`t differentiate between us and others. We have to ask God for His help and we have to ask people for their help. Only God can open human hearts. We cannot change ourselves without His help, only God can give us the power to change ourselves, and this is why we have to pray for all of us.
I am not poor at home. My husband is a painter and he gave me money for this journey, but I left it in Poland. I didn`t want to take anything along. Once we, my husband, a friend of ours and myself walked together from Poland to Rome, but this time I felt that I have to go alone, exactly like God inspired me to do it: with empty hands, without any protection. We should all make the experience that He is always taking care of us. Here is an example: It was autumn when I started the walk to Medjugorje, wearing a raincoat, and during the first ten days, it was raining non-stop. When I decided to leave this completely wet and torn raincoat, the sun began to shine!Yes, it is really true, God can make it raining all around, except on the way where you are walking! This experience made me extremely happy and i felt stronger. I really feel sorry for all those who don`t believe in God. They think that they have to do everything by themselves, and this is why they cannot find peace.
I slept in parish houses. From Poland, I went through Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, and Bosnia. In Bosnia I went through a region inhabited by the Muslims. I talk to them and found out that they don`t know that God is a Father. This is what I told them: that we have a common Father and that they are our younger brothers, born several centuries after us. In a small town near Zenica I went to a mosque where I asked them to find an accommodation for me; they did it and they also gave me to eat. I told them that I was on my way to Medjugorje. When I left this town, many people there were greeting me and telling me to take this or that, but I went with empty hands. They were glad that I was going to Medjugorje to pray for peace, and they were telling me that they also want peace, peace and only peace.
Some years ago, I was walking to Czestochowa with 25 kg baggage on my back. At that time, I thought that I will need all that… After my walk to Medjugorje I understood how funny and a kind of stupid it was. Mary told me: if you want to follow my Son, you don`t need anything. He will take care of you. And it was true, he took care of me.

Why do we exist ?

There are numerous questions without answers like “who is god?”, “where is he?”, “why did Virgin Mary appear in Lourdes or Medjugorje.

Have you ever ask yourself “why do we exist?” This is a question which has plagued mankind for centuries. Is there a definite answer to this question, or is it all about maxim and self-determination? If we are ready to accept the Bible as truth, we can find out the answer to the question “where did we come from?” Relating to Scripture, we were created by God and this leads us to the question is…why he did it? At last, He is God,and He surely doesn’t need us for anything.
So why did He create us?

What does the Bible say about why we are here?
This question that can be answered by looking at how the Bible explains our existence. It begins in chapter1 of Genesis, where we can read that after each step of creation, God “saw that it was good.” Relating to Scripture, after He finished creating heavens and earth, the plant life and all the animals, He created man: “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them (Genesis 1:27).
Now we know what He did, but this still doesn’t explain WHY He did it. If we read on we will see that He spoke well of the male and female and He showed His delight by entrusting them with His creation:
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth…”
A part of His blessing was gaving us responsibility over the earth and its other life forms:
“and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so” (Genesis 1:28-30).
These were not the only blessings, we got more through Virgin Mary in Medjugorje for example.
The end of Genesis Chapter 1, let us know how He felt about his finished creation:
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31).
So let`s try it again:Why do we exist? We were created by god because it pleased Him to do it. This message is constant throughout the pages of Scripture. Tersely said by the Apostle John:
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
The message that we were created for His pleasure is more than clear. Moreover, the Apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 1:16:
“For by Him were all things created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him.”

If we approve that all this is true, the next question is “what do we, you and I do about it?”
How someone please such a huge, infinite God? We can find some answers also in the Bible. One is for sure, the truth that none of us is here by accident. We were planned and wanted by our God.

Spiritual Movement

When we are talking about ‘Medjugorje’, then it is more than just talking about a town in Herzegovina that carries this name. It is about the movement that this name has triggered since six young people indicated that on the 24th of June 1981 Virgin Mary, the Mother of Jesus, in Medjugorje named Gospa, appeared to them, and she is still appearing and giving messages to them until today. The four most important aspects of this movement can be described as this: Firstly, it is a movement of pilgrimage. Until this day, many millions of people have come to this place of pilgrimage from all over the world. Furthermore, the small place Medjugorje represents a movement of peace. Many people say that they have experienced there the gift of peace in their hearts and they are ready to pass it on to others in their proximity: in their marriage and their family, in their neighbourhood, in their circle of friends, their community and their working place. They are motivated by their own experience of reconciliation and peace and of course by the name which Virgin Mary “Gospa” used to introduce Herself to the visionaries: I am the Queen of Peace.
Third, Medjugorje can also be called a movement of renewal, which permanently revive the spiritual life people. There is a great number of people who claim that they have had deep spiritual experiences like physical and spiritual healings, conversions, resuming of prayer and faith, impulses for fasting or liberation from addictions. One sign of these renewals, which is more than obvious, is the fact that people started to build prayer groups. There are numerous groups which were buildet by the pilgrims in their communities after their return from Medjugorje. It is a place where they meet, usually once or twice a week, for prayer and adoration, to pray the rosary, to read or to discuss the gospel and Christian life. And the fourth and last aspect: Medjugorje has become the symbol for a movement of humanitarian aid, which is unique. This became especially obvious when the Balkan war began and when it extended into Bosnia-Herzegovina. It was unbelievable, but millions of pilgrims, who had received spiritual gifts in Medjugorje, started now showing their gratitude by helping materially. They sent food, clothes, medicines and other goods, they helped with money and by sponsoring orphans and war victims. This executive summary shows what is meant when someone talks about Medjugorje as being a movement. It should also be mentioned that this movement has been filled with the messages, which the Virgin Mary has given to Marija Pavlovic from March 1, 1984 to January 8, 1987, every week, and since then on the 25th of each month. Of course the messages, which are given to the other visionaries are also a part of this. These messages of Medjugorje consist usually only of a few sentences and are initiations to make the five original basic messages more concrete: faith, conversion, prayer, fasting, and of course peace.

No Rush-calm down

Have you ever stoped for a moment and listened to the rhythm of life that flows within us and realized this rhythm especially by the beating of the heart?
If you do it, you we will realize that it is slow, calm and harmonious; unless we have forced it to be fast by a lifestyle which makes us rush.
Medjugorje is a place, where you can calm down and spend your time harmonious.

For those who are not “forced” to live the anxiety of the “developed world”, who are caught up in a mechanism of production that threatens them not to stop and for those who wake up with the mind already crowded with things to do, and go to sleep with the worry of having “done it all” : we have one
suggestion: STOP! Stop and start asking yourself: “Have I done well the things that matter the most? Did I do them in a way that has enabled me to remain at peace?” We are often running to guarantee our serenity and calmness, but what we really get then is only an artificially construction of it. However, this blinds us, so we often miss the chance to really enoy life and all it offers.
Unfortunately we have the habit of carrying out all duties mechanically, but this is often leaving us unsatisfied as if we have concluded only very little. Particularly then, we need to to stop and take time to see if and how we need to change.
One way of helping us to change is to observe people who lived at Mary`s time. Of course, these times weren’t like ours. Palestine 2000 years ago was not beset with the speedometers of cars or motorbikes; the only noise on the roads at this time was the sound of hooves. So the point ist not to confront our lives with hers; we think it may be good to look at how she lived.
The Blessed Virgin, who appeared in 1981 in Medjugorje, also have been in haste, but only in few situations, like when she went in haste to the house of Elizabeth to tell her about the pregnancy or when she went with haste to a city of Judah, but once there she continued to carry out her daily tasks immersed in the God she was bearing.
So everything she has done in haste, have been very important and infrequent situations.
It is important to know that we give the best of ourselves and think about what we are doing and how we are possible to do it. Even when we are doing banal things such as going up and down stairs, we will see, with marvel, how so many things are created with perfection and harmony, such as our own body, or even the beauty of human inventions. Take, for example, the wind mill.
Praise God for man’s genius, which can turn even basic objects into useful things for our purpose and comfort: blankets, for example, to protect us as we sleep or when it is just cold, or running water, amazing! Stop sometimes and think about all the things you can do and which you have and a constant
feeling of gratitude that dilates the heart, and quietens our breathing will be born. And this will give us peace.
And don’t become desperate if you can`t manage to do everything we were supposed to do! There is a trick: entrust everything to God at the beginning of the day and he will help to comprehend the essential. The Holy Spirit will help us to see what is urgent and what is useless. He will give us the wisdom to face everything and strength to fulfil it all. Then we will be able to stop being so nervous and in our hearts instead of anxiety there will be joy.
There is also a place, where most of the people feel this peace and joy: Medjugorje!Calm down

Marian Apparitions-when & where

A Marian apparition is an event in which the Virgin Mary is believed to have supernaturally appeared to one or more persons.
The central role of Virgin Mary in the belief and practice of Catholicism is reflected in the fact that a lot of Roman Catholic churches contain side altars dedicated to Mary. It is claimed apparitions or appearances are always accompanied by messages to the world.
The term Marian apparition is usually used in cases where visions of just the Virgin Mary herself are claimed. However, there are also cases where visions of Jesus and Mary and conversations with both are reported.

Here are most famous places, where Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared:
Fatima, Lourdes & Medjugorje http://www.medjugorjemap.com

1.) Fatima
Our Lady of Fátima is the title given to the Holy Virgin Mary by those who believe that she appeared to three shepherd children at Fátima in Portuga.
It started on May 13th in 1917, the Fatima holiday, and recured on the 13th day of six consecutive months. The three children were Lúcia dos Santos and her cousins, siblings Francisco and Jacinta Marto. The children related that the Lady identified herself as “the Lady of the Rosary”.That`s why the title “Our Lady of the Rosray” is also sometimes used for the same apparition( this title was first used in 1208 for the apparition in the church of Prouille)Lúcia described the appeared lady as “brighter than the sun, shedding rays of light clearer and stronger than a crystal ball filled with the most sparkling water and pierced by the burning rays of the sun.”
The lady confided to the children three secrets, called the Three Secrets of Fátima. She told the children to do penance and to make sacrifices to save sinners. And the children did it: they wore tight cords around their waists to cause pain, abstained from drinking water on hot days, and performed other works of penance. But Lucia said that the most important mission the lady gave them was saying the Rosary every day, reiterating many times that the Rosary was the key to personal and world peace.

Our Lady of Lourdes
The apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes began on 11 February 1858, when the 14-year old farmer girl from Lourdes, Bernadette Soubirous admitted that she had seen a “lady” in the cave of Massabielle, about a mile from the town, while she was collecting firewood and bones with her sister and a friend. When she was about to wade through the water near the Grotto of Massabielle, she heard wind noises but the trees and bushes nearby did not move. She saw a light in the grotto and a lady, as small as she was, dressed all in white, apart from the blue belt fastened around her waist and the golden yellow roses, one on each foot.
Bernadette didn`t want to tell anybody about this happening, but after parental cross-examination, she underwent corporal punishment for this unusual story. After three days, Bernadette returned to the Grotto with two other girls, who became afraid when they saw her in ecstasy and run away.
Bernadette remained ecstatic when she returned to the village. On February 18th the Lady allegedly said to Bernadette: “I promise to make you happy not in this world but in the next” and she was told to return to the Grotto over a period of 14 days. Afte the local interest was aroused, the police and city authorities got involved and Bernadette was interdicted by her parents and the police to ever go there again, but she went anyway. On February 25th she was asked to drink from the water, which at first was very muddy, but became increasingly clean when she started to drink it. This water was given to medical patients of all kinds, after which numerous miracle cures were reported.
Similar appearances of the “lady” took place on seventeen further happenings that year.
Bernadette Soubirous was canonized as a saint, and many Catholics believe her visions to have been real. Pope Pius IX authorized the local bishop to permit the veneration of the Virgin Mary in Lourdes in 1862.

Our Lady of Medjugorje
From the beginning of Medjugorje apparitions in 1981, Medjugorje (in Bosnia and Herzegovina) became an important source of God’s grace and encouragement for faith for millions of people.
Medjugorje Apparitions started on June 24th, 1981, when six young people – Ivanka Ivankovic,
Mirjana Dragicevic, Vicka Ivankovic, Ivan Dragicevic, Ivan Ivankovic and Milka Pavlovic, saw on the
hill Crnica( now called Apparition Hill) several hundred meters above the place called Podbrdo, a young woman with a child in her arms, who gave them a sign with her hand to come nearer.
Surprised and scared, they did not approach her, they ran away. The next day, June 25th, 1981, four of them: Ivanka Ivankovic, Mirjana Dragicevic, Vicka Ivankovic and Ivan Dragiceviæ, felt strongly drawn towards the place where they had seen the person the day before which, they had recognised later as Our Lady. Marija Pavlovic and Jakov Colo joined them and the group of Medjugorje visionaries was formed. They prayed and spoke with Our Lady. This is why June 25th is celebrated as the Anniversary of the apparitions and not the 24th . According to the testimony of the visionaries, from that day onwards, they had daily apparitions, together or separately, wherever they were. Milka Pavloviæ and Ivan Ivankovic never saw Our Lady again.
Medjugorje became a place visited by thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. A lot of hotels and guest houses have come since this happening and the streets in the center of the town are lined with cafes and a lot of souvenir shops.

Fun Office Christmas Activities

Just because you’re stuck in an office all day doesn’t mean Christmas fun can’t extend to your workplace. Depending on the environment at your work, it’s definitely possible to mix holiday fun with work.

One obvious choice for some fun at the office during the holidays is to have a party. You could have several, in fact. How about a cookie exchange party? Plan to do this at lunchtime one day, and during that block of time, everyone brings several dozen cookies they have made. You have to set a particular number of cookies everyone brings. Because once everyone has an empty plate, they go around the table picking up cookies that look good to them and place them on their empty paper plate. If everyone brought 3 dozen cookies, say, then everyone gets to take home 3 dozen cookies. This is not a particularly unique idea, but one that brings a bit of fun into the workplace.

Fun Office Christmas Activities
Keeping in mind whether or not the public visits your workplace, you might choose to decorate. Why not have a Christmas tree decorating event? Everyone brings 6 ornaments and as a group activity, everyone decorates the tree. This is a good way to build team spirit and decorate your workplace at the same time.

Don’t forget to institute a “secret Santa” event at work, where you secretly buy gifts for someone and have some type of gift exchange. But what about a “Santa’s helper” activity? Someone in the group has to begin this on the sly. Essentially, this first person (the only one in the know about how the whole thing began) puts together a little gift. Ideally, it’s a basket with a few gift items in it. They might be decorative items, or baked goods or even bath items. Attach a card saying that “Santa’s helper” dropped by and brought these items. Now the person who received the “helper’s” gift must put together a little something for someone else and – again on the sly – deliver it to the next person. It continues until everyone has received a visit from “Santa’s helper”.

Christmas Activities
Nothing brings people together like a group activity designed to help others. What if your officemates came up with an activity designed to help people less fortunate at the holidays? You might adopt a local family and everyone in the office purchases items for that family. You might choose to purchase Christmas trees for needy families. If the public visits your office often, you might even begin a “sharing” tree and people can bring items to put under the tree for needy families or children. As a group activity, the office workers can then deliver these items to the needy. More on Christmas Activities Resources.

Improve Yourself Through Spiritual Enlightenment

If you’ve been practicing yoga or meditation for a while, or if you’re thinking about joining a yoga class, one of your goals may be spiritual enlightenment. These practices will help you to become more aware of your body, and will help you to realize the connection between the way your body feels and the way your mind reacts. Here are some of the milestones you will reach as a result of spiritual enlightenment, as well as some resources you can use to find out more about yoga principles.

Most of the people that have been practicing yoga for years do so to avoid feeling stressed or anxious. You have only one life, don`t let stress rule it.Live in peace with your body and your soul. Focus on the really important things in your live: love peace and harmony. If you’re thinking about making yoga part of your workout routine, chances are you’ll want to do the same. During your meditation time, it is important to focus on what is causing your stress; it may be the pressure of having to run too many errands for the family each day, or the overwhelming work schedule that you’re expected to follow. Next, you’ll need to determine whether or not you can change or get rid of what is causing you to be unbalanced.

Would you be able to get a different job? Are you able to delegate your work and responsibilities to other members of your family? If you come to the conclusion that nothing can be done to alleviate your situation for now, the you need to use your meditation and breathing routines to change your mindset about how your life is going. You will have to concentrate on how you can make changes in your mind to deal with your stress levels more appropriately, so that you will be able to make sense of chaos and be able to deal with your situation at times that you would usually fall apart.

When you’re practicing yoga for spiritual enlightenment in addition to your meditation, you should also pay special attention to your body’s movements, as well as how each movement makes your body and mind feel. When you feel physically sick, you are more likely to be more stressed, since you won’t have the energy you need to work or run errands efficiently. And, when you have to work long hours despite the fact that you’re not feeling well, this could weaken your immune system even more. So, spiritual enlightenment will come from practicing your ‘asanas’, or yoga poses as often as you can, as well as meditating.

Healing And Wholing The Subconscious Self

Honoring the Subconscious Self
Learning how to access our inner voices is a much needed skill that many lack. Most are not taught how to understand the inner self, often ignoring, for one reason or another, the hurt and pain that is often buried deep inside. If we learn to attend to that all important inner voice, rather then silencing or ignoring it, then we will have a better chance of healing and wholing the many inner wounds and ghosts that challenge each and every one of us. The way we perceive ourselves has a large role to play in how we live our lives. If we engage life in a state of disharmony with all parts of ourselves at odds with each other we are already at a severe disadvantage. In order to begin to heal and whole we need to start looking within as well as without. As such, it is important to begin healing our relationship with our inner self before we can really move forward with our lives. This healing of the inner self is a critical tipping point that will affect our all around progress and holistic self-development.

We are born without external perception of who we are. This develops over time. Though it is my belief an entelechy of purpose comes in with us at birth, many of our ideas, beliefs and habits, the dressings we don, come from the environment and our life experiences. We develop personalities and internal perceptions by engagement with the environment and the experiences with which we engage. This affects our outlook on life, leading to the conceptualization of the self that becomes most habitually familiar to us. More often then not, aches and pains of living are buried deep inside, a protection against our hesitancy to face them. If they are not released, these negative emotions can haunt our lives for ages with devastating consequences. Instead of allowing them to fester and wound from the inside out, there is much we can do to address and heal our inner being, creating a better relationship between all parts of our self so that we can move forward with a harmonious life. In order to heal the inner being and move away from the instinctive self-destructive behaviors we often display we need to be willing to establish a committed bond of communication with the inner self.

We Are Entangled Products of our Environment

In one way or another we are products of our social environment, bombarded with perceptions and ideas that can put us down and lower our self-esteem. Many look in the mirror, see only negative things, and think only negative thoughts. This is not a healing way to honor one’s self and the need for inner self-healing is critical to moving beyond this stage in order to perceive our self as someone worthy of respect and affection. If we do not like or love ourselves how then can we expect others to show us this same respect. We are often predisposed to look at ourselves as lesser persons, but this is not appropriate action if we are to grow and bloom into our deepest potential.
In the process of healing, we need to look inwards and face all the different facets of our lives. It is best to look at ourselves from many different aspects and angles in order to achieve a balanced, healthy, healing outlook of self. We have to dig deep and locate the inner strength to face our dragons and our deep seated wounds head on in order to move past that which blocks us from unfolding into our greatness.

Craft Your Art of Healing and Wholing Harmony

In order to craft the artistry of our lives, it’s important for us to not only focus on the outside but to also nurture and heal that often forgotten inner self. Only then can we achieve all that we desire in life. We need all parts of ourselves working together in healing harmony, the true mastery for which we were born. If we learn to align the inner self with the rational self and the higher self, we have a better chance of reaching a goal of three part harmony that can be a very special gift to the coffers of the world.

Best Guide to Giving Back to Others

CAN YOUR LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY GIVING BACK TO OTHERS

When you get to be my age – you will find yourself beginning to ask, did my life make a difference?

That’s the day of personal reckoning. And I think the only way to face it is to consider, every day of your life: How can I do something for somebody else? How can I give back to others? It may be teaching, it may be becoming a doctor, you may be successful in business – no matter what your career path, there will always be the opportunity to give back. The chance will present itself to be giving of your time, giving of your money, but mostly, to be giving of yourselves, of your own heart and soul.

Cosmic Ordering is not all about taking, but about giving. This is not tithing whereby you set a certain percentage of your earnings to one side and to be given away. You cannot just buy this ‘giving back to others’.

My hope today, as you commence to new beginnings, is you will always keep your eyes open for those opportunities to give and embrace them as your best sure way of doing well.

THE MOST VALUABLE GIFT IN THE WORLD IS PRICELESS AND YET ALSO SO INEXPENSIVE

You know, while everyone is chasing a bigger pay rise, more returns on their investments and fatter cheques (checks) from TV show royalties, there is something we can overlook in life as being worth far more, yet so inexpensive for us to attain. Here is a story to show what I mean.

Junior high school students in Chicago were studying the Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the lesson, the students were asked to list what the considered to be the Seven Wonders of the World. Though there was some disagreement, the following received the most votes:

1. Egypt’s Great Pyramids
2. The Taj Mahal in India
3. The Grand Canyon in Arizona
4. The Panama Canal
5. The Empire State Building
6. St. Peter’s Basilica
7. China’s Great Wall

While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student, a quiet girl, hadn’t turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The quiet girl replied, “Yes, a little. I couldn’t quite make up my mind because there were so many.” The teacher said, “Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help.”

The girl hesitated, then read, “I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:

1. to touch…
2. to taste…
3. to see…
4. to hear… (She hesitated a little, and then added…)
5. to feel…
6. to laugh…
7. and to love.”

The room was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop.

May this story serve as a gentle reminder to all of us that the things we overlook as simple and ordinary are often the most wonderful – and we don’t have to travel anywhere special to experience them.

Enjoy your gifts! They are priceless!!

Genuine Happiness Comes From Within

Life isnt the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life? Then I pause and observed for awhile I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called self.

So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.

Genuine Happiness Comes from Within
My theology professor once said that loving means accepting. To love oneself means to accept that you are not a perfect being, but behind the imperfections must lie a great ounce of courage to be able to discover ways on how to improve your repertoire to recover from our mistakes.

Genuine happiness also pertains to contentment. When you are contented with the job you have, the way you look, with your family, your friends, the place you live in, your car, and all the things you now have truly, you know the answer to the question how to be genuinely happy.

When we discover a small start somewhere from within, that small start will eventually lead to something else, and to something else. But if you keep questioning life lit it has never done you any good, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.

Self Improvement
I believe that life is about finding out about right and wrong, trying and failing, wining and losing. These are things that happen as often as you inhale and exhale. Failure, in a persons life has become as abundant and necessary as air. But this should not hinder us from becoming happy.

How to be genuinely happy in spite all these? I tell you every time you exert effort to improve the quality of life and your being, whether it is cleaning up your room, helping a friend, taking care of your sick dog, fail on board exams and trying again, life gives you equivalent points for that.

Imagine life as a big score board like those which are used in the NFLs. Every time you take a step forward, you make scoring points. Wouldnt it be nice to look at that board at the end of each game and think to yourself Whew! I got a point today. Im glad I gave it a shot., instead of looking at it all blank and murmur Geez, I didnt even hit a score today. I wish I had the guts to try out. We could have won! and then walk away.

Self Improvement Info
Genuine happiness isnt about driving the hottest Formula 1 car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest 13th month pay, or beating the sales quota. Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesnt always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or not even the best. So, how do you become genuinely happy?
